Pure Wellness Centers

Insurance & Pricing

Good news about insurance coverage:
Pure Wellness Centers accepts insurance billing!

Does this mean that your insurance will cover us? Only your insurance provider can answer that question. It is important that you realize that your insurance coverage is a contract between you and your insurance company. Plans vary widely, even for the same company, especially for naturopathic services. The same insurance company might cover naturopathy if you work for employer A, but not if you work for employer B, or if you have a higher deductible, etc.

We cannot know the complexities of every plan. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you consult directly with your insurance carrier or with the Human Resource person at your job. Ask them if your specific plan covers naturopathy and if Thomas Ballard, ND or Julie Krauss-Lucas, ND are covered providers.

While there is no guarantee that your plan includes naturopathic coverage, here is a list of insurance companies who have covered our services in the past: Aetna, Cigna, Great West, Group Health, Premera Blue Cross, Regence, Uniform and Lifewise.

If you chose to pay for our services at the time of your appointment, we offer a 50% discount. This way we avoid the cost of billing and bookkeeping and pass the savings on to you.

Note this discount does NOT apply if we do any billing or bookkeeping. Thank you for your understanding. Please note also that insurance will not pay for supplements, but Health Savings Accounts often pay for supplements that have been prescribed by your doctor. If you are using a Health Savings Account, ask for a receipt at the time of your appointment and save that for your records.

At Pure Wellness Centerswe make every effort to provide efficient, affordable and effective therapies. Our 50% discounted fee schedule for office visits paid at the time of the appointment is as follows:
·         First office call (1 hour): $135
·         Return office call fees are based on time:
·         $90 (1 hour), $68 (45 min), $45 (30 min)

If your insurer does not cover naturopathic services, please ask them why the most-proven methods of curing chronic disease – diet and lifestyle therapies – are not covered. You should not be forced to go to doctors that only write prescriptions for drugs that have little scientific support (less than 15% of drugs have undergone vigorous, unbiased scientific studies). Furthermore, according to the AMA's own statistics, at least 120,000 people die every year from MD-prescribed therapies. It’s your money and, more importantly, your life. Choose naturopathy, the green medicine with deep roots in the past and the latest in current scientific support.
